Facebook Comes Out On Top!

After a lot of analysis work and a whole lot of research, a study of online consumer behaviour has shown that people interact with their chosen brands via Facebook, more that any other Social Network Site in the world. The study was conducted after analysing the online behaviour of nearly 1,500 consumers of the age of eighteen and above, revealing specific details of how people have been interacting with brands through Facebook. The efficient and extremely precise study showed that when it actually comes to liking a certain brand, the reasons for doing so do vary, however consumers did say that they like a brand, either because they are already a customer or they actually want to receive a discount or promotion.
What the Statistics Show…
Being a fan or actually liking a certain brand appears to be a passive activity, the study has clearly shown that an incredible 77 % of all consumers surveyed, admit that they have interacted with brands, after they have read posts and updates from the brand in question, therefore portraying that it is very important for businesses and brands to regularly update their statuses and information. Some statistics that are bound to be extremely interesting and very encouraging to businesses is that; a colossal 56 % of consumers admitted that it is much more likely for them to recommend a brand to a friend or colleague after becoming a fan on Facebook. In addition to this, an even more encouraging statistic, shows that 51 % of consumers, are even more likely to purchase a service or product after they have become a fan through Facebook.
The Final Analysis
Finally a whopping 78 % of consumers who have “liked” a particular product on Facebook, say that they “like” fewer than ten Brands, therefore emphasising that the people who become fans of a brand are generally very relevant. So I think the above fact prove how effective it is for companies to promote and advertise their products and services through the worlds biggest Social Networking site.
For brands that are actively looking to make the best impact through Facebook, it is imperative that you share compelling content through your posts, minimize the actual marketing message and also try to abstain from smothering readers and potential clients with too many updates and too much information.
