Is Facebook an Obsession?
Is Facebook beginning to take over peoples lives and cloud their judgement and their rational way of thinking... Many people certainly think so, however is this the fault of the social networking site or is it purely just weak minded people that are easily influenced? This is an argument that has been raised many times in the past with similar situations, do films that show violence and portray certain happenings that are copied by people, influence these people to do so, or is it simply just the individual in question...??? The Facebook issue isn't, at the, moment being questioned obviously in the same way, but is it simply just a matter of time before someone sees an application or a game on Facebook that portrays some form violence and then copies it. Or is there nothing wrong at all with people allowing Facebook to have a big influence on their life and what they do, just so long as it is all harmless fun. These are the questions that are being asked due to some recent scenarios that have come to light in regards to Facebook users. A brave Dutch woman has recently just posted a video of herself having 152 of her most treasured friends faces tattooed on her arm, now according to the video she asked each and every one of these people their permission and apparently they are all very proud to be part of her collage that she has dedicated to her friends on her arm that will be with her for life. Now is this another example of Facebook just becoming to much of an influence on peoples lives or does it simply portray the dedication that one woman has to her friends? What happens if the woman falls out with one of the friends who she has tatooed on her arm? Maybe people are reflecting too much on a personal decision one person has made, however can the same be said in relation to the the Israeli couple who decided to name their new baby girl "Like" after the facebook button......can this be argued in a positive way or are they just plain crazy.....?????
