MonkeyFish Excited for Royal Wedding
Internet Marketing Company MonkeyFish Marketing is feeling very patriotic this week! With St George's day being a great success on Saturday, the MonkeyFish team are getting prepared for the big Royal Wedding day. I have read many blogs, comments and rants across the web about how Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding is being blown out of proportion and that it's costing thousands to host, however my support of the wedding has not wavered. As one of the few countries in the world to have a Royal family we should support and applaud the fact that our future King is getting married! It is rare in these current times that a country can unite to support one cause, whatever religion a person is if they have a British Passport they are British and therefore should be proud of the British Monarchy! Many critics complain that the Monarchy costs the tax payer millions, without looking into detail I'm sure they do, however do these pessimists look at what the Royal Family bring to the country? The Royal Family and the heritage around them entice millions of tourists a year to the UK, let’s be honest they are not coming for the weather! Not only do they account for the majority of tourism coming to the UK they also have a work hard maintaining good, key relationships between the UK and countries across the world. The Monarchy is a British Institution that do have a place in England and always will; they are moving with the times whilst maintaining the values and standards that has been set by their predecessors. The Royal wedding is yet another momentous occasion in British History and one that should be supported not hated. The royal wedding is also helping local businesses around London and the UK create more revenue. With Kate and Will memorabilia etc being sold across the country business are cashing in on the excitement of the wedding. Many people are also holding picnics and parties again buying food and drink from supermarkets and local stores, and not forgetting many of the country are using the 4 day weekend as an excuse to go on a short holiday increasing revenue for campsites, hotels, B and B's and Caravan Parks. I for one support the wedding (and the extra Day Off) and think that whilst everyone is complaining about the money spent on policing and how it is uninteresting to see two random people get married they should remember that the Royal Family is what England is built on, it is our history and our future. If you are still not convinced just enjoy the extra day off you’re getting and don't turn on the TV! What's more, if you are due to be wed like our beloved Prince and soon to be Princess - make sure to shop wedding invitations at B&G.
