NEW CONCEPT OF ORDERING FOOD VIA THE I-PHONE
In addition to the already ever growing world of technology taking over the running of our every day lives, a new concept of ordering your food in a restaurant has recently come to light and caused yet more controversy and debate with many mixed views being aired in regards to this. Pizza Express have issued a world first in regards to the way we now order our food when going to a restaurant and if this new fad kicks off, saving time and effort on the side of the customer and also the restaurant in question, I think it may be only a mater of time before many other leading restaurants and chains follow suit. Now there are many arguments for and against this introduction. In many ways it may be a more suitable option for many people because in many situations the phone can actually deemed as more secure than a wallet these days. The majority of the new phones being issued do include a phone locking system, obviously an application that the wallet doesn't include, a phone tracking system, which allows you to locate your phone if stolen and also a phone brick feature which gives you the opportunity to completely wipe your phone hard disk if stolen, so when you look at the situation from this point of view it does seem that it could be a far more secure way of purchasing than the every day practical way of walking into a restaurant and handing over the money. In addition to this, when you do pay by credit card it contains a fraud protection plan and the application that you use to make the payment, pay pal, just happens to be the most secure payment provider on the internet, so is this the way forward in regards to going out dining, many people think so and many people feel that this new process is ultimately going to take the world by storm. However as with any new fad that comes into practise these days there are generally as many people if not more that actually oppose such improvements in technology. You of course have the general old school opinion that people just simply want to go into a restaurant, take their time to view the menu, a menu that is of a normal menu size, rather than scrolling through a phone, signing onto the company website, then signing into paypal, typing in your details and you still have to wait for confirmation from the waiter, who has to read your phone confirmation, so does this application speed up the process of ordering what so ever, or is it simply just a free promotion for Pizza Express...???? Whatever your personal opinion or point of view, it really does prove how much the world of technology is evolving, however is this a good thing or a bad thing, it may suit some people so should we just let each individual make up their own mind and leave them to it instead these constant debates occurring and surfacing on a regular basis.
