Our online marketing guide shows you the five Facebook features you might not have known about…

You may think you know everything there is to know about Facebook but our online marketing guide brings you 5 features that might just surprise you! Full-Screen Photos If you’re a bit of a photo buff, you’ll be interested to know that you can view yours or a friends photos in full-screen mode. Find the album you want to view, click on the first image and then hover over the photograph. You’ll see a floating menu appear at the bottom of the image, simply click ‘options’ and ‘enter full-screen’… Simple! To exit, just press escape or click the ‘x’ on the top right of the screen. Hide Your Reading List Facebook’s new social reading apps are fantastic! Bringing you interesting news stories without having to leave the website, we love browsing the pages to find out what’s going on in the world. Love reading but don’t want everyone else to see what you’ve just read on your lunch break? Head on over to ‘account settings’ on the home page and go to the ‘apps’ tab. Click edit on the relevant app and change the permissions to ‘only me’ so that it cannot post on your behalf. Problem solved! Base Lists Around Your Interests Facebook allows you to create lists based on your interests so you can catch up on topics that you’ve missed. To create your lists, simply click ‘more’ next to the ‘interests’ section of your homepage, ‘add interests’ and ‘create list’. You can create a list of people, subscriptions or friends, make them private for just you to see or share them with the world. Add Pictures to Your Map If you didn’t do it at the time, it’s worthwhile knowing that pictures can be geo-tagged once they’ve been uploaded, showing all your Facebook friends exactly in the world you’ve been visiting! To add photos to your map, click on the ‘photos’ box under your cover photo and click on ‘add photos to map’. Reposition Your Timeline Images If you’re a perfectionist, uploading an image to your timeline and finding it doesn’t look as great as you hoped can be frustrating! You’ll be glad to know that you can now reposition the photo on your timeline to look just the way you hoped. If you can’t see the main focus of the photo, click the ‘edit or remove’ pencil icon, select ‘reposition photo’ and drag it until you’re happy. Want to learn more Facebook tips and tricks?
